What is the H-series?
Are you wondering what else NovaStar plans to produce? Relatable, but only at first sight. The new H-series of the Chinese manufacturer for LED display solutions has its own advantages and we would like to talk about them.
Let’s start with the overall image: the devices of the H-series are video crossbars or video splicing processors. This means a local central organisation with cabling to the individual screens. Like a hub towards which many sources are played, and from there are distributed to different video receivers.

The devices are suitable for giant high-resolution displays, big television studios with many image sources, large conferences or control posts with many transmissions. You don’t think this is an invention? That is true, but with the H-series everything works with only one device, with only one programming.
So far you would have to play systems of this size with several products, which inevitably means more sources of error than with the use of only one device with a central management. And not only the devices themselves are fault-prone. Such a fragmented system needs a bunch of supply lines, consisting of numerous cables. Each of these cables is a potential source of error that can possibly interrupt the entire system. The H-series gets rid of this problem.
The many devices and cables have another disadvantage: they take up a lot of space. The H15 for example unifies up to 15 MCTRL4K sending cards or even 60 MCTRL660 devices in one compact product. Its space-saving features could even be the name-giver, at least in a German context, as the number in the description of the five different H-devices indicates the rack units (german “Höheneinheiten”, “Höhe” meaning height). The H15 measures 15 rack units, comparable the UHD Jr 3. However, even if the name doesn’t stem from this idea, one can still remember the difference in height of H-devices with this mnemonic.
Last but not least: instead of playing and programming 20 controllers individually, the entire controls of the H-series happen with a single product. This seems like a plausible conclusion, but this feature makes the H-series the time-saving flagship it is.

What’s the catch?
Now the following is important: how exactly does it work? It seems space-saving to construct one device that does the work for several, but it might not seem as efficient.
There is good news: the H-series is even more efficient. Each device at first only consists of a case. Inside there are pre-installed slots that can be filled with purchasable plug-in cards. All input and output data can be combined flexibly according to customer requirements from all common modern connection options and result in a unit that is exactly as powerful as you need it to be. Of course, right at the time of the purchase but also in case you later want to play an additional LED wall. You can expand the devices of the H-series even on duty with another plug-in card.
This series is not a compromise, but always exactly what you desire.
