The family reunion took some time. With the smallest and the largest MX-device MX20 and MX6000 Pro, the MX controller series of the LED controller manufacturer NovaStar has been temporarily completed since July 2023. So that you know which device meets your requirements, let’s do a family constellation:
The youngster: MX20
The MX20 is one of the youngest. With a controlling capacity of 3.9 million pixels, it is at the lower end of the available controller sizes by NovaStar. Amongst the All-in-One devices, only the VX4S-N and the VX400 of the VX-series have a smaller number of pixels. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for smaller events. Thanks to the VMP-programming software, all MX-devices offer a smooth, completely new workflow, a highly professional image adjustment and an uncomplicated management of presentation.

One size up: MX30
With the MX30, you control up to 6.5 million pixels. The 4K2K scaler is the ideal solution for medium-sized events and comparable with the dimensions of the VX1000 of the NovaLCT-series. With the support of up to three freely prioritizable layers, you get a controller for most occasions with the MX30.

A stunner: the MX40 Pro
The MX40 Pro is a big step up from the next smaller MX30. With a pixel capacity of 13 million, the MX-device controlles more than the big UHD-devices. The bigger UHD-device NovaPro UHD supports with six layers two more than the MX40 Pro but differs in a higher price. Thanks to the controlling via the NovaStar VMP software, the MX40 Pro is ideal for professional and big high-end tasks. The MX40 Pro even has four more outputs than the UHD (20 instead of 16).

Never have you seen something like this: MX6000 Pro
No other has been this big. The MX6000 Pro has a maximum pixel capacity of 141 million and makes the biggest MX-controller comparable with the devices of the H-series that work with a plug-in system of individual cards. You can read more about the H-series here.
COEX, VMP and All-in-One
Even outside of the MX-series, there is a fixed structure in the NovaStar product portfolio. The MX-devices belong to the devices of the COEX-system, are All-in-One products and run with the new VMP-software. You can read more about the features and the VMP-software here. Although its basis-technical data often conforms with the VX-series – the MX20 and the VX600 have e.g. the same pixel and layer capacity – there is a fundamental difference between the controllers in another operating system and the new software. The All-in-One suffix indicates the devices as a scalable controller that are not dependent on a further external device that could bear a potential delay in the applications.
