Recently, we proudly introduced our new dolly, an innovative transportation method for LED walls and an addition to our proven flight and touring cases. But how is it doing in comparison to our classic, the touring case? And who will prevail in the end? Let us take a closer look at both methods of transportation:
The new dolly
The first glance reveals: the dolly convinces with its open construction. The big advantage of its design is obvious. Once the LED cabinets are unloaded, it can be folded, which is useful especially at bigger events with little storage space.
However, that is not all: like the well-tried cases, the new model is based on the standardised lorry packing size. This means that the LED cabinets can be stacked easily and transported safely.
Furthermore, the transportation itself offers decisive advantages: the dolly makes it possible to wire two cabinets beforehand and transport them as a unit. This does not only save time when assembling the LED wall but also decreases the workload on site drastically. Like this, 5m2 of LED wall can be transported in one dolly.
A possible disadvantage of the open construction could be the increased contact with dust – but we have a solution for this problem: we developed protective covers that keep dust out. At the same time, the open construction can minimize the risk of moisture damage.

The touring case
Can our tried-and-tested transport case keep up with the new transport option? Let’s take a closer look:
Like the dolly, the touring case has the proven lorry packing size that makes a universal use and easy stacking of the standing cabinets possible. A specialty is that it is possible to wire and connect the cabinets beforehand and transport them like this. In total, 4m2 of LED wall can be transported which – just like the dolly – saves valuable time during the assembly and makes it as efficient as possible.
Other than that, the touring case can be placed underneath a flying bar so that the LED wall can directly be mounted to the frame from the case. This saves additional steps and makes a quicker assembly possible.

Conclusion: who is in the lead?
Deciding between dolly and touring case is not easy. As often, the decision depends on your needs. The dolly convinces with a space-saving, foldable design – which is particularly practical at events where every square meter counts – and the possibility to transport up to 5m2 of LED wall.
The touring case scores with its stable design and transports up to 4m2 of LED wall. Besides that, there is a particular advantage: it can be place perfectly underneath a flying bar, which makes a quicker assembly of the LED wall straight from the case possible.
In conclusion, it can be said that the dolly gets a bonus point for its space-saving, foldable design, while the touring case is in the lead when it comes to saving time due to its assembly right from the case. It remains undecided – 1:1 as both models have their very own strengths according to your very own personal needs. You are well-equipped with any of the two options. Which one is your favourite?
