NovaStar follows up: with the VX600, the VX-series of the All-in-One-series is completed by another device. You think it reminds you of the VX6S? Not that wrong! We are listing the biggest differences:
Glass fibre connection
The NovaStar VX600 comes with two glass fibre connections that the VX6S cannot offer. This means that it is compatible with the CVT-10 and that it has 6 primary and 6 available backup outputs.
Genlock
Genlock (“Generator Locking”) is a synchronisation method for video signal sources that is useful e.g. for the use in TV studios. The signal sources can be mixed with this option without interruption or interference.
3-in-1-device
The VX600 can be used as a sending card, video controller (scaler with 3 layers) and fibre converter. It is similar to the VX1000 that combines video control functions with video editing functions. A true allrounder!
Other differences
The NovaStar VX600 has one less SDI- and DVI-connection. Therefore, in comparison to the VX6S, it cannot be used as a media player when connecting a USB stick. You do not need to worry about the sound or about buying a splitter. Here, the VX600 is the device for you.
Nonetheless, there are some differences. Both still have 6 network connections, and if you think they are still quite similar, you might not be entirely wrong. One could say they are brothers. In any case definitely from the same bloodline.
