Even though the NovaStar product pallet might seem like a maze sometimes, things are actually pretty simple. VX is followed by MX and MX20 is followed by MX30. We will take a detailed look at it:

Those who have been working with NovaStar devices for a while know the All-in-One VX-series by heart. Part of the series are four controllers with integrated scalers and of different pixel capacity. The VX devices are controlled via the NovaLCT software, and this is the difference to the new MX devices. Instead of NovaLCT, the programming software is called VMP. This means for example more options for image adjustment, a new workflow and an intuitive use as well as improved operation options.

The differences between the MX20 and MX30 are not that significant. As with the VX-series, the individual devices are in the first place of different pixel capacities and therefore suitable for various sizes of applications. With the MX20, you play 3.9 and with the bigger MX30 6.5 million pixels. This should mean that the decision for the right device has almost been made. Other than that, both controllers offer three freely adjustable layers, full grayscale calibration, the lowest possible latency and the 14-channel-colour correction for a precise adaption of colour, saturation and brightness. A feature of the MX30 is the option of 4K2K performance. While the smallest 4K-capable controller used to be part of the NovaPro UHD-series and therefore of a more costly segment, the MX30 makes an excellent interim solution.
